About Us

Our Mission

At AltruMind Counseling, we aim to provide compassionate, empathetic, and culturally competent care for every individual we serve. We acknowledge that seeking mental health therapy can be a big decision and therefore, we meet you where you are at. Together we will work to help you reach your life vision. 

Our Approach

We use a variety of evidence-based therapies, including

psychodynamic, attachment-based, DBT, CBT, person-centered, and solution-focused, in order to help our clients overcome negative thought patterns and behaviors. We believe in a holistic approach to mental health, addressing both the mind and body.

Our Team

Ariaine (Aria) Larion-Klein, Owner, Therapist

Aria has 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. Aria is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). She received her master's degree in Integrated Behavioral Health at University of Minnesota and is currently attending the Doctor of Psychology program at St. Mary's University of Minnesota.

"Altru" comes from the word Altruism which means "the practice of concern for the well-being and/or happiness of other humans." I chose this as part of the name because it represents two sides of me, the one who loves fantasy/video games and the one who loves to help others. The word "mind" is part of the name because in psychology, we study the mind. 

We are currently an independent contractor with a group private practice in Minnesota and are accepting new clients. If you are interested, please send a message to contact@altrumindcounseling.com or fill out the form at the bottom of the page.

Aria is licensed in Minnesota as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC).

At this time, AltruMind Counseling provides counseling for individuals 12 years old and older. We provide services for individuals struggling with many different mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar, grief, and borderline personality disorder. 


Populations that we feel passionate about working with include adolescents, young adults, Asian Americans, Filipino immigrants, children of immigrant parents, and those who work in veterinary medicine.

We accept all major insurances. Please contact us to see if we are in network.
